What are the uses of different roller skates? What kind of competitions are they used for? The following is the classification and use of roller skates compiled by the editor of Xueliala, and each has a detailed explanation. Welcome to read.
Double-row roller skates are used in special venues for jumping, spinning and footwork of various difficulties, that is, international figure skating, also called figure skating. The so-called double-row roller skates, as the name suggests, are four wheels arranged side by side in pairs, using wheels with a large ground contact lateral area, and the front sole has a brake. The most widely used roller skates in major skating rinks are also called figure shoes.
Single-row roller skates are also called inline roller skates. As the name suggests, the wheels on each shoe are arranged in a straight line. According to their functions, they are mainly divided into the following types: casual shoes, speed skates, flat flower shoes, roller skates and extreme shoes.
1. Casual shoes are of course used for leisure, and there is no problem in dealing with general street running. The wheels are of the same size, with a brake on the right heel, emphasizing comfort, and the shoe shell cannot be too soft, otherwise it may cause ankle sprains. The knife holder and the upper shoe of this kind of shoes are generally integrated (except for a few high-end brands). The wheels are generally made of polyester material to ensure sufficient elasticity and grip. The quality of the wheels directly affects the effect and safety of the exercise. Children's casual roller skates are mostly of this type, and most shoes are adjustable in size.
2. Speed skates are also called racing roller skates. In order to reduce the load and give full play to the strength of the ankle, the uppers are relatively short, generally at or below the ankle, with high flexibility, and the uppers are made of full leather, which has better wrapping. Speed skates are generally 4-wheel or 5-wheel shoes, and now there are also 3-wheel shoes as entry-level training shoes. Children's wheels generally use wheels with a diameter of 84mm-90mm, while adult wheels generally use wheels with a diameter of 100mm-110mm. To match the large wheels, the blade holder is longer than that of ordinary inline skates. The characteristics of speed skates are that the center of gravity is low, so that they can be stable during skating, and the friction on the racing wheel side is large, so that they can accelerate.
3. Flat skates are mainly used for freestyle roller skating such as fancy slalom and fancy brakes, and can also be used for street skating and leisure. The main components are upper shoes, blade holders, and wheels. The upper shoes are mainly composed of shoe shells, linings, and uppers (these parts of some carbon fiber shoes are integrated and cannot be disassembled). The shoe shell uppers are divided into hard and semi-soft. The hard uppers are wear-resistant, but not plastic, and are more suitable for braking, FSK and flat skates. The semi-soft uppers have a certain plasticity, and they will fit the feet better if worn for a long time. Most semi-soft shoes have thermoplastic functions (use a hot air gun to heat the shoe shell to make it deform, use with caution). The shoe base is mainly made of plastic, glass fiber, and carbon fiber. Of course, the price difference is also very large due to different materials. The upper shape is not much different. Some high-end shoes use triangular support uppers, which improve the flexibility of the ankle joint, but the stability is not as good as the general uppers (usually made of plastic). The triangular support uppers are various high-strength fibers. To solve the problem of insufficient strength, the triangular support uppers are now replaced by high-strength plastics. All hard-shell shoes and some semi-soft shoes have removable liners, while other shoes combine the liners with the shoe shell to reduce weight and cannot be removed. The knife holders are all removable and adjustable, and the materials are all metal, without brake devices. The characteristics of flat flower shoes are mainly reflected in their wheels. The four wheels on one shoe are not the same size, but the two in the middle are slightly larger (generally 4mm larger than the diameter of the front and rear wheels), making steering and various fancy movements more flexible.
4. Roller skating shoes are used for roller skating ball sports. Because it is a confrontational event, the shoe strength requirements are relatively high. The ball cake used in the game is relatively hard and the ball speed is very fast. The toe uses hard engineering plastic to provide the best protection for the toes. Special designs are made for the sports methods commonly used in competitions, with a towering heel protection system and an extra-long tongue. The upper is semi-soft, the shoe body is relatively comfortable, and the blade holder is tilted forward. There are many sudden stops and turns in the game, so the blade holder and the upper shoe are connected by rivets. The wheel arrangement of HI-LO is generally small in the front 2 wheels and large in the back 2 wheels, which is convenient for sprint acceleration. The multi-shoelace hole design makes the shoes fit the feet better.
5. Extreme shoes are also called skill roller skates. They are mostly lace-up and buckle-type, so that it is not easy to cause danger due to loosening of shoe buckles when doing stunts. The base is also lower than that of casual roller skates to maintain a lower center of gravity. The shoe shell is relatively hard and can provide safety protection to prevent severe impact. Generally, the distance between the front and rear wheels is relatively close to reduce the grip, because too strong grip will make some stunts difficult to complete. There is an extreme bottom plate under the base for step clamping, and there is a slot design in the middle of the blade holder for easy clamping of the rod.
